Brunswick Tenants and Residents Association (BTARA)

By the community, for the community...
The group is made up of local people who come together to address issues within the Brunswick neighbourhood, and act as a voice for the local community. BTARA is open to all local people living in the Brunswick area.

They meet on the first Wednesday of every month in Brunswick Village Community Space, and annually once a year for the Annual General Meeting (AGM), usually held at the beginning of October.
The group consists of a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer, Co-Treasurer and other committee members who are all voted in at each AGM.
BTARA always welcome volunteers. If you would like to join the team to help make a positive difference to the Brunswick community, then please get in touch.

Brunswick Village Commuity Space is also available to rent, with all proceeds from the bookings going back into the community for future events and activities such as the annual community fun day and other celebrations.

Chair of BTARA, Naz Begum said: " It may feel free to attend the events we host, but as we know everything comes at a cost, so to provide such activities we need money in the pot to keep doing what we do. So using the rental money from the community space allows us to do just that without passing on the cost to our residents and everyone can continue to enjoy the fun days in the park and other events such as the Christmas activities.

"We have lots planned so we hope the community will come together and join us in having lots of fun - something for all the family. Brunswick is a spcecial place with such community spirit so we really want to keep that vibe going.

"There are also lots of other community groups within Brunswick such as Brunswick Church, COMAS, the Allotment Group and Manchester Young Community Champions for the younger ones, there really is something for everyone, follow the links below to find out more.

"And if anyone has any issues within the community and would like to speak to us, please get in touch and we will see what we can do to help. Our door is always open. Likewise if you are considering becoming a member, please get in touch, we'd love to hear from you".
